BLACKWOOD CREEK is the business name of the Australian writer and painter Lindsay Bovill.

Writing: Lindsay writes literary fiction and non-fiction, mostly in the genre of post-pastoral nature writing/ecoliterature. He has contributed to magazines on a variety of topics, including archery, palaeontology, flyfishing, and history, and has a book scheduled for release with U.S. based publishing house 12 Willows Press. He has a blog, which can be found on this website, covering a wide range of topics. Most of his literary writing explores landscapes, and investigates the ways in which humanity and natural systems intersect, and the ways in which these connections are often lost.

Painting: All landscape paintings are created either en plein air or from research photographs taken on field expeditions. Using palette knives and oils exclusively, these paintings serve as an investigation into the landscapes of Australia.
